Benefits of Hemp Oil and Cannabis Oil

Firstly:

May the team point out, putting hemp oil in a juice or smoothie 3 or 4 times a week is a great idea, a tablespoon added to your regular juices will be so beneficial to you both inside and out.

What is Hemp Oil?

Hemp oil or hempseed oil is obtained by pressing hemp seeds. Cold pressed, unrefined hemp oil can be dark to light green in colour, clear and with a nutty flavour. The darker, the grassier in flavour. Hemp has had a long-standing relationship with humanity; modern science reveals that it contains all the essential amino acids and essential fatty acids necessary for human life, as well as a rare protein known as globule edestins that is very similar to the globulin found in human blood plasma. Hemp seeds contain the most balanced and richest natural single source of essential oils for human consumption. Research has shown that this nutritional oil was once a part of worldwide dietary intake, as it was one of the first cultivated crops. All natural foods contain some substances, which are essential to life. Oils for example, found in nuts and seeds, contain significantly higher amounts of essential fatty acids than other foods.

Christmas and New Year Detox Plan

Thinking of Detoxing in between Christmas and New Year?

It’s Christmas time and theres no need to be afraid… Coz at Christmas time, everyone overindulges on chocolate, champagne and turkey. Festive spirit takes hold and we just cant say no to that last mince pie, chocolate bar and all thing sweet….

When Christmas is over, everyone begins to regret all those alcoholic drinks, lemon cheesecake slices, Christmas pudding seconds and thirds and even fourths. Another helping of Mums home made turkey curry? That top button undone and the post Christmas slump in the big armchair begins…

But in the New Year you decide new resolutions, new prospects and the attempt to get rid of the Christmas waistline?

Time to clean the system and remove those toxins, for a fresher start to the year.

Toxins and how to get rid of them

Drinking alcohol and eating starchy, fatty foods can harm your digestive system. An overload of toxins can stop the body working properly, making ones self feel bloated or constipated, or both. We feel sluggish and need some help getting back to normal after the Christmas indulgence. Toxins are acidic and therefore too much of them can imbalance our body’’s PH levels, potentially leading to acidosis which can bring on many different diseases.
So look at fruit and vegetable that will balance this out, celery, cucumber, apples and of course avoiding fizzy drinks.

Why is detoxing so important?

Detoxing can remove waste and toxins within the body, especially dead cells or parasites, leaving your digestive system to do its job properly. It can also replenish your good bacteria (probiotics) and ensure that any bad areas of the digestive system can be restored back to health. Drinking Kombucha is a good way to help.

How to make Kombucha

How to detox

Detoxing is all about what works for you. A good diet and regular exercise is a great way to start. Look at getting a good quality juicer.
Cut out caffiene, alcohol and fizzy drinks. If you’’ve put on a few pounds over the Christmas period, cut down on glutin and heavy’ foods, starch and sugar. If you can, try to cut out dairy for a while too. Look at juicing blueberries and apples and add ginger as this will help with a healthy digestive system.

Here at Passion 4 Juice on 27th december we will be bringing the 3 day detox – Designed by Trish Tucker-May to help with the Christmas Muffin Top, the sluggish feeling, the over indulgence. Bringing nutritional healing to you and your body.

Three to Five Day Detox Plan

Detox

Passion 4 Juice After Christmas Juice Cleanse

While doing the detox the aim is to eat as clean as possible. Focus on eliminating wheat, dairy, meat, caffeine and processed foods. This will take some planning and preparation. Think about cleaning out your kitchen cupboard and fridge beforehand so you won’t be tempted by what is in your fridge.

Don’t be surprised if you feel a bit lousy, especially on day 2 and 3. It will pass and buy day 4 you will feel better – read all the way to the end as there are some great cleansing techniques that will help you avoid to many bad headaches as you cleanse.

The number one key to any detox is HYDRATION. The body is 75% water, all the organs and systems run on water, without sufficient water the body is physiologically stressed. That means water, freshly pressed vegetable or fruit juices and herbal teas NOT tea, coffee, green tea, fizzy drinks, concentrated fruit juice or alcohol – these are all caffeinated or acidic, or both, they dehydrate and create stress. The first thing I do with my health clients is start them on hydration therapy. It is very straightforward and I want you to make a note of this and treat it like a prescription from the doctor – just do it!

Free Food – Hedgerow Grazing

Fresh healthy food – for free!

Hedgerows offer a larder of healthy seasonal food, and you can find some great free foods in your local countryside; blackberries, blackcurrants, gooseberries, sloes, elderflower, nettles and dandelions. All can be used in cooking and are delicious when made into juices and smoothies.

Don’t be afraid to over pick as your harvest can be frozen and saved for when you find a recipe you want to try. Clean the produce well and try to pick from the higher branches or bushes where possible.

You may also be able to get apples and pears for free but do make sure they’re not on private land! And don’t be afraid to ask if you can share fruit from neighbours, either for payment or a share of your delicious recipes.

Keep your eyes open when walking in the countryside; it tastes so much better knowing you picked the ingredients rather than buying them from a supermarket.
